PP cotton filter core production and processing technology

PP Cotton Filter is the selection of non-toxic and odorless polypropylene particles, through heating melting, spinning, traction, withstand forming and made of tubular filter. If the material is mainly polypropylene, it can be called PP cotton filter.


The structure of PP cotton melt-blown filter core is a coarse outer fiber, a fine inner fiber, a loose outer layer and a tight inner layer. The unique gradient deep filtration forms the three-dimensional filter slag effect, which has the characteristics of high porosity, high retention rate, large pollution absorption, large flow rate and low pressure drop.


PP cotton filter core is made of polypropylene resin as the material of fiber and is bonded by the fiber itself. The structure of the filter element is a coarse outer fiber, a fine inner fiber, a loose outer layer and a tight inner layer. From the outside to the inside level of filtration, the closer to the inner layer of the filter, the smaller the aperture, the higher the accuracy of filtration.


Theoretically, any thermoplastic (high temperature melting, low temperature curing) polymer slicing material can be used in the manufacturing process of melt-blown filter element. Polypropylene is a kind of slicing material which is used more in melt blow process. In addition, the polymer slicing materials commonly used in melt blow process are polyester, polyamide, polyethylene, polytetrafluoroethylene, polystyrene, PBT, EMA, EVA and so on. Olefin polymer materials (such as polypropylene) have a high degree of polymerization, so the heating temperature is higher than its melting point 100 ° C or more to smooth melt blow, and polyester heating temperature is slightly higher than its melting point can melt blow, olefin materials generally do not need to be boring.



The quality of PP cotton filter core is mainly controlled through three aspects, one is that the raw material must be used with new polypropylene particles. Polypropylene itself is non-toxic and tasteless, but if recycled materials are used, the filter element produced may be contaminated; Second, the production environment, polypropylene spray melting surround molding, the appearance of the fiber is charged, it is simple to inhale dust, dirty the filter element, so a clean production environment is very important; Third, the production process, different machine types, different debugging temperatures, will affect the filtration of the filter element.
